The stinging associated with this product is not mild but about akin to a slap in the face. That said, I will happily buy it again.
How it works - you slather it on your skin, it burns like hell, and within moments you see a difference. Breakout related inflammation flattens out. Your skin appears more matte. For a couple weeks from first use, your skin will 'purge' - you may see increased breakouts as your pores are unclogged. I had been told this would happen so managed to stick with the product past this period. You'll be thankful if you do. Also, during this period you find the product treats the breakouts as fast as they occur.
After the purging, you find that use of the lotion reduces breakouts within a day. Within a couple weeks any fine lines are reduced. Within a month, your skin tone is significantly more even and breakouts are very much diminished.
I've used a lot of products. This hurts but it is the best.
