Review
'Pithy and well written, beautifully photographed, aptly referenced, and chockfull of spectacular cases and clinical pearls, this book was literally hard to put down An immensely pleasurable read may be recommended to dermatologists at all levels with a broad variety of interests.' - Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, November 2005
Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism I'm a medical student, and the content of this book seems excellent. The cases are well written, detailed, with great pictures. I wish the Kindle had color for this, but that's another issue...
I gave this review a low score because of huge technical glitches in the kindle version of this book! In 75% of the 50 cases, there are sentences which are cut off in the middle! The end of the sentence (and perhaps other sentences after) are simply missing. For example: "Actinomyces israelii can be cultured under..." That's the end! This sentence obviously has an end, but you won't find an end included in the book!
Other minor issues: sentences with a random periods or commas sprinkled in the wrong spot.
For a $100 price-tag, I would expect the publisher could at least proofread their digital text! If these issues were resolved, I would change my review to a 5/5, because the writing is easy to read and thorough. I do wish the captions of the included photographs didn't give away the diagnosis, but again, that's a minor issue...
Please fix this book!
