This book meant a lot to me as an African with albinism because its an uncensored outpour of real emotions and real feelings unglilded by common dillusions that most persons living with albinism have learned to live without. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in the sociological study of race and race relations as well as a better understanding of the lives of Africans with albinism. It leaves the reader to challenge the racial "norms" of society because its neither an account of pessimism nor optimism but a tale of what was, and is on-going in society.
