About the Author
Shawn (Tausch) Williams was born at Ft. Knox, Kentucky in 1969 while her father was stationed there in the army. When she was only a few months old he was discharged and the family moved home to Michigan. Shawn attended elementary school there and graduated from Vassar High School during the spring of 1987. After high school she attended Davenport University and became certified in the field of phlebotomy. She has been employed most of her career in some phase of the health care field. Presently she works part-time as an in-home care giver. Shawn and her husband, Mark, were married in 1998 and now live in Vassar with their son, Cole, and daughter, Casey.
Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism Our daughter was also diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia so we could really relate to this non-fiction bio. Danielle's mom writes from the heart and we recommend this to anyone afflicted or knows someone diagnosed with any autoimmune disease and/or blood disorder. It's a quick read, educational, and kudos to her mom for being brave enough to share her difficult journey.
