There is no stomach upset nor constipation as are typical side effects from most iron supplements. I have tried many other brands and Solgar is the first and only mfgr I'm yet to find that makes a true irritation-free iron supplement. I also like that I don't have to consume a large meal even if taking a large qty at once (I can take them with just a small snack). I typically have low iron and have to take 300 mg per day - I love these and highly recommend them :)
