Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism We had the first edition of this book at the facility in which I first worked. When I left that position to start at another facility my first purchase was this invaluable reference tool. I got this updated edition which is even more comprehensive than the first. It is not one of those books that you purchase because, "Hey, I know of that researcher. I bet this book will be very helpful," only to find that it's full of research data which, while valuable, provides little "real world" information that can be applied to your patient(s). I have referred to Helm-Estabrook's Manual of Aphasia Therapy with every patient with aphasia I have treated and have always been able to find something useful. I highly recommend that anyone working with patients with aphasia purchase this book, which is backed by research and provides wonderfully pragmatic, timely information from neuroanatomy to treatment.
