I am taking the time to write this because this product is the most amazing ever. Why? Because it actually does what it says it will. I say this because it is so rare to find a product that works as advertised. This stuff falls into the category of aspirin. You have a headache? Take an aspirin; no more headache. Have tartar? Use Periogen; no more tartar. I had used tartar-control toothpaste for years. Every cleaning with my hygienist was the same - scrape, scrape, scrape and probe, probe, probe. Every scraping was painful and every probing drew blood. They said I needed a deep cleaning; or I would have to see a periodontist. It was like a threat. I started using Periogen ever day or so, and on my next dental visit there was nothing for my hygienist to clean. She probed me, as usual, and my pockets had shrunk and there was NO BLEEDING! She called in the dentist and he commented, "I see you have been flossing better." What a joke! It was so funny that I didn't bother to tell them I just rinse with Periogen and never floss. I personally recommend this product, Periogen, for dissolving tartar. But I also praise this company for its honesty and integrity.
