I have been getting canker sores since I was a child, besides a prescription that a dentist gave me 10 years ago, nothing worked. I tried gels, mouthwashes and even would spray stinging chloraceptic inside my mouth. I picked up a box of Canker Melts at my local drugstore and used 2 patches near the same area (I had 2 canker sores in the same area-OUCH!) before bed. The next morning I removed the melts and brushed and rinsed my teeth as normal. No pain for the entire day! The sores were still visibly there, but the pain was not. I have not used another patch since the one time and the sores healed with-in a few days without causeing me any additional pain. The one thing and the only thing that is a minor complaint, was the taste in my mouth the next morning before I took out the melts. It is not a pleasant taste, but totally worth it for the outcome! This is my new favorite drugstore product!
