I am a frequent canker core sufferer, and have a bottle of orajel/anbesol in every purse as a result. As anyone who suffers from canker sores knows, they provide VERY temporary relief, forget about if you are trying to eat or drink anything (and it makes everything taste nasty to boot). I thought I would give these a try, because during a particularly bad canker sore I was getting desperate. The first time I put it on backwards (it's hard to tell which side is which unless you have very good lighting), and surprisingly it gave a little relief. When I put it on the right way, though, my pain was totally gone and I could eat or drink anything, even canker sore horrors like pineapple, without pain. This thing is a miracle. And unlike some people who said it didn't last 8 hours, mine didn't go away for more than 24 hours; I eventually had to peel it off. The reason it gets 4 stars is because it's kind of ugly. My canker sore happened to be right below my bottom front teeth, and it forms a sort of gel that makes it look like I ate a lot of cheese and haven't brushed my bottom teeth in weeks. If it's in the back it probably doesn't matter, but I wouldn't wear this before a first date unless you want to look like you live in the woods. The important thing, though, is that it WORKS!
