Whatever are you waiting for? Read this book. Do it for yourself and those you love. Yes, the story slices painfully through your heart like a rusty scalpel, but through Mr. Graves' honest, revealing memoir, I promise, you will find hope. ---Eva Shaw, PhD., author of the bestselling book, What to Do When a Loved One Dies
An incredible story of hope and perseverance. Charlton Graves shows us how one can overcome adversity and emerge at the end a stronger person. Faced with severe refractory Crohn's disease, Mr. Graves refused to be defined by his disease. This is a problem for anyone who suffers from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. By honestly sharing his personal and emotional struggles with Crohn's disease, self-doubt and his own spirituality, he serves as an example for anyone who has lost hope fighting a chronic illness. --Dr. David Schwartz, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Charlton Graves is a torch in the darkness for those who have lost hope. An amazing man with an incredible story. Anyone who is suffering should read his book. --Dr. Mik Mickiki, Acuintegra, Inc.

Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism
I consider the author to be a friend, and prior to reading this book, had a superficial knowledge of his experience with Crohn's disease. His warm and intelligent humor, as well as an innate ability to tell a story had me asking to read his story even prior to the actual publishing date.
I began to read it the first day that it was given to me. And couldn't put it down.
Emotions that had been put to paper quickly transferred themselves to me, and I was soon chuckling, crying, laughing, hopeless and despairing, inspired, hopeful and appreciative, like a pinball through the chapters of this amazing story.
The message brought by the author's experience is one of perseverance and hope, and includes a brutally honest view of the family dynamic that occurs when one is chronically ill.
You do not have to be a Crohn's patient to benefit from this book. But if you or a loved one is suffering from this disease, this book will provide Insight and inspiration.
